North Olympic Library System to host program on magic of science

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System’s Summer Reading program will present “Science Magic with Jeff Evans” at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
No registration is required for the free kids’ program, which will stream at http://us02web.zoom.us; the meeting ID is 820 8982 5424 and the pass code is 264010.
Evans will demonstrate several tricks that look like magic but are actually accomplished with science.
The presentation includes two demonstrations that participants can perform at home.
To follow along, participants will need a glass of water with ice cubes, string, salt, an empty plastic or glass drink bottle, a straw and a balloon.
