PORT ANGELES — Free paper-marigold-making kits will be available at the Port Angeles Farmers Market, open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, under the Gateway Pavilion at Front and Lincoln streets, during this month’s Market Art activity.
The Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts and North Olympic Library System are cosponsoring a Día de los Muertos ofrenda, or traditional display of mementos honoring deceased loved ones, at The Wharf mall next week. People of all ages are invited to use the kits to make paper flowers for it or for their home ofrendas.
At Saturday’s Farmers Market, visitors can use the socially-distanced craft tables or take their kits, which contain instructions, home.
Finished flowers should be returned to the Juan de Fuca Foundation office inside Chase Bank, Front and Laurel streets, by 5 p.m. next Wednesday.
