Live music, inflatables among various treats at Fall Spectacular

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College will host the second annual Fall Spectacular at its Port Angeles campus on Saturday.

The gathering will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the campus at 1502 Lauridsen Blvd.

The family-friendly event includes live music, numerous inflatables, face painting, climbing wall, a treasure hunt for the kids, interactive community booths, beer garden and classroom activities.

A new laptop will be given away each hour.

New for this year, more food will be available for purchase, and vendors from the Port Angeles Farmers Market will sell treats and wares.

Last year’s inaugural Fall Spectacular brought an estimated 4,000 people to the college.

“We were thrilled by the turnout last year — and the overwhelmingly positive response from attendees. The college is proud to provide a day of entertainment and fun education for the community,” said Peninsula College President Suzy Ames.

Though this year’s event will be missing the headliner hot air balloon, the college is doubling down on the event’s most popular activity: inflatables.

Event attendees can anticipate two large bounce houses, a 55-foot-long obstacle course, soccer darts and a two-story slide. Two smaller bounce houses will also be available for smaller kids.

Scheduled bands include Black Diamond Junction, the Lower Elwha Song & Drum Group, and Bread and Gravy.
