PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Fair Association will host its first garage sale since the pandemic began on Saturday.
The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Cat Building at the fairgrounds at 4907 Landes St.
A wide variety of goods are available, said Sue McIntire, Jefferson County Fair manager.
“They are filling one whole building and some into the next building,” she said.
Items will be sold on a pay-by-donation basis, “within reason,” according to a press release.
Masks will be required. Twenty-five people will be allowed in the building at a time.
All proceeds will benefit the Jefferson County Fair Association.
“We haven’t had any income in our campground in the past year,” McIntire said. “This is one of our ways of recouping some of that and getting going again.”
Past fair T-shirts also will be for sale.
Items have been donated since September 2019, so no more donations are needed. No vendor spaces are offered at this sale.
“If we are able to have another sale later this summer, donated sale items may be wanted and vendor spaces may be available,” the press release said.
McIntire added that the annual county fair in August will be virtual again this year.
