Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club dog show to preen this weekend

SEQUIM — More than 40 pups will show off their agility and quick wits this weekend at Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club’s all-breed show.

Although it’s too late to enter your dog to compete, anyone can come watch for a $5 day parking fee or $8 fee for both days. Only competing dogs can be on the grounds.

The show will be hosted at the Sequim High School stadium, 300 W. Fir St., at 10 a.m. today and Saturday, with Sunday’s from 8 a.m. to one hour after the Best in Show competition.

Two all-breed dog shows and three obedience and rally trials will take place throughout the course of the weekend.

A special obedience and rally trial will be held today.

Saturday will feature conformation, junior show, obedience, rally, 4- to 6-month beginner puppy, AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dogs International (TDI) certification testing, national owner-handled series, eye clinic and two runs of Fast CAT.

Sunday’s show will include conformation, junior show, obedience, rally, national owner-handled series and one Fast CAT run.
