Free music series begin next week

Free concert series will be conducted this summer in Sequim, Port Angeles and Port Townsend.

Venues and the concert lineups include:

• Sequim Music in the Park

Farmstrong will perform from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the bandshell at Carrie Blake Park, 500 N. Blake Ave., Sequim.

The free concert will kick off the 2025 Music in the Park summer concert series sponsored by the city of Sequim, KSQM 91.5 FM and the Sequim Arts Commission.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and a picnic.

Future performers in the series include John Hoover and the Mighty Quinns on July 1, Sweater Weather String Band on July 8, Stardust Big Band on July 15, Bread and Gravy on July 22, Buck Ellard Band on July 29, Black Diamond Junction on Aug. 5, Lovesick Fools on Aug. 12, SuperNostalgic on Aug. 19 and Sound Advice on Aug. 26.

• Port Angeles Concerts on the Pier

Rose’s Pawn Shop will perform at Concerts on the Pier from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at City Pier, 315 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

The concert will open the free Concerts on the Pier series hosted by the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts.

Attendees are encouraged to being a chair or blanket as seating is limited. Outside food is welcome, but alcohol may only be purchased at the beer and wine garden.

In the event of rain, the concert will move to the Gateway Transit Center, 125 E. Front St.

Future performers in the series include Wild Rumours on July 2, Super-Nostalgic on July 9, Mort Crim All Stars on July 16, The Nasty Habits on July 23, The Sam Chase on July 30, Daring Greatly on Aug. 6, TribU2 on Aug. 13, Three Too Many on Aug. 20 and Black Diamond Junction on Aug. 27.

The series will include a bonus performance by The Works on July 26 in partnership with the Port Angeles Day of Play.

• Port Townsend Concerts on the Dock

The Port Townsend Main Street Program will host the free Concerts on the Dock series from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning July 10.

The concerts, at Pope Marine Park, 612 Water St., Port Townsend, will run weekly through Aug. 28.

The series, now in its 40th year, will feature live music, food vendors such as Java Gypsy Coffee, Lily’s Dumplings, Fastbreaker and Soul Pantry, and a 21-and-older beer, wine and cider garden with local libations from Port Townsend Vineyards, Port Townsend Brewing, Finnriver Farm and Cidery, Eaglemount Cidery and Alpenfire Cider.

Mars Garden will perform July 10, followed by Abracadabra Trip on July 17, Lowire on July 24, Bon Bon Vivant on July 31, Daring Greatly on Aug. 7, Uncle Funk and The Dope 6 on Aug. 14, Batuka on Aug. 21 and Kevin Mason and The PT All Stars on Aug. 28.

The concert schedule may be subject to change. Concerts will be canceled due to rain.
