PORT TOWNSEND — The 17th annual Fort Townsend 4-mile trail run/walk will traverse rolling hills through an evergreen forest Sunday.
The race starts and finishes on the lower field overlooking Port Townsend Bay. Registration takes place between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., and the race starts at 9 a.m.
Day-of-race registration costs $15 for adults and $10 for those 16 and younger. An annual Discover Pass or one-day pass is required to park at Fort Townsend State Park, 1370 Old Fort Townsend Road.
The race benefits Fort Townsend State Park and Port Townsend High School’s cross-country team.
Due to the nature of the course, no dogs or strollers are allowed.
