Registration open for compassion fatigue class

Prevention Works! workshop scheduled for Oct. 5 in Blyn

BLYN — Marya Barey will present “Building Resilience Against Burnout and Compassion Fatigue: Strategies for Success” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 5.

The workshop, sponsored by Prevention Works!, will be held at the Jamestown Tribal Center’s Red Cedar Hall, 1033 Old Blyn Highway.

The workshop is oriented toward child care providers, teachers, school staff, court-appointed special advocates, pediatric medical staff, social workers, Department of Children and Family Services staff, foster parents, adoptive parents and others who work with children.

The workshop costs $30 per person and includes healthful snacks and certificates for STARS credits, continuing education units or clock hours.
