Feiro Marine Life Center names development director

Linty Hopie

PORT ANGELES — The Feiro Marine Life Center has hired Linty Hopie as development director.

Hopie will develop the community support needed to increase marine and watershed education, animal care and stewardship programs on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Hopie was born and raised in Port Angeles and has worked for United Way of Lane County, Ore., Peninsula College, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and Olympic College in Bremerton.

Her position is funded by a grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
