PORT ANGELES — First Federal recently recognized the activities of three of its employees.
Jeff Davis, executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been named to a three-year term to Fiserv’s National Strategic Planning Council.
This council is composed of members who are expected to be in a senior management position at their bank or closely associated with the bank’s senior management team.
Brett Bies, senior vice president and chief information officer, presented “Entrepreneurial IT – The Fusion of Business and IT” at this year’s IT Summit-Seattle.
Bies has served as an executive board member for the summit since 2013 and will serve as the conference director for next year’s event.
Jackie Gold, vice president and loan servicing manager, was one of eight Washington bankers to complete the Washington Bankers Association Management Development Program.
The program focuses on developing an understanding of the skills necessary to lead banks, employees and communities into the future, according to a news release.
Alpine cider
PORT TOWNSEND — Sip Northwest magazine has named Nancy Bishop of Alpenfire Cider, 220 Pocket Lane, “Industry Influencer” for 2016 in the annual Best of the Northwest edition.
Alpenfire was the first certified organic cidery on the West Coast and remains one of only a handful in the U.S., according to a news release.
Its orchard was planted in 2003 with the traditional varietals required to produce standalone ciders and now produces over 32,000 pounds of apples annually.
