BUSINESS BRIEFS: Customer appreciation day in PA … and other items

PORT ANGELES — Jim’s Pharmacy will hold its customer appreciation day from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Featured at the event will be the inaugural “Jim’s Spinner Contest” for kids in the pharmacy’s parking lot, 424 E. Second St.

Winners in each age group will receive a gift basket.

Also featured will be free hot dogs and chips, as well as a raffle for a Golden Technology lift chair.

Grand opening

CARLSBORG — The public is invited to the grand opening of Gabby’s BBQ at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Attendees can eat barbecue while listening to Locos Only at Gabby’s, 471 Business Loop.

Locos Only will perform a variety of blues, rock and country music.

Training program

SEQUIM — The Sequim Gym will continue to hold free orientation classes for its Alloy Training Program until Saturday, Aug. 19.

Classes began Monday.

The orientation will also include small group training, classes, sign-up information and one-on-one training at the gym, 145 E. Washington St.

Attendees can also receive a free Functional Movement screening and initial workouts today at 7:30 a.m., Friday at 9:15 a.m. and Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

Reservations are required.
