BPA makes treasury payment

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Bonneville Power Administration recently announced that it has paid the U.S. Treasury $736 million.

According to a press release, this was the administration’s 37th consecutive, on-time annual payment to the treasury.

The payment includes $208 million in interest, $471 million of principal and $57 million for other costs.

BPA has paid more than $31 billion to the treasury over the past 37 years.
