EYE ON BUSINESS: This week’s meetings

■ Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce — Twice-monthly ­luncheon meetings are held on the first and third Mondays at noon in the second-floor meeting room of the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St.

This Monday’s meeting program will feature the work of the ­Surfrider Foundation on the beaches and watercourses of the North Olympic Peninsula.

In a separate presentation, the chamber will announce its Business of the Month and the monthly Beautification Award for December.

Tickets for the luncheon are $15 and can be purchased from the meeting room cashier.

For those not having lunch, there is a $3 participation fee that includes a beverage.

■ Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce — Weekly ­luncheon meetings are held Mondays at noon at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.

This Monday’s speaker will be Chad M. Pearson, state Employment Security Department Shared-Work Program marketing manager, who will discuss how the program helps businesses prevent layoffs.

The meeting sponsor will be Port Townsend Kiwanis.

■Forks Chamber of Commerce — ­Luncheon meetings are Wednesdays at noon at JT’s Sweet Stuffs, 80 N. Forks Ave.

This Wednesday’s meeting will be devoted to chamber business.

Lunch costs $8; a bowl of soup, $4.99; and a cup of soup, $3.99 (all prices plus tax). The entree is chef’s salad.

■ Port Angeles Business Association — Breakfast meetings are Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 ­DelGuzzi Drive, Port Angeles.

This Tuesday’s scheduled speaker will be Steve Methner, co-chairman of Port Angeles Citizens for Education, which is promoting a $98.254 million Port Angeles School District bond issue on the Feb. 10 ballot. Voting in the all-mail special election begins Jan. 23.

There is a $3 minimum charge by Joshua’s for those who do not order breakfast.
