EYE ON BUSINESS: This week’s meetings

■ Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce — Twice-monthly ­luncheon meetings are held on the first and third Mondays at noon in the second-floor meeting room of the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St.

Today’s meeting will feature Port Angeles City Council Position 5 candidates Marolee Smith and Michael Merideth along with City Council Position 7 candidate Cherie Kidd.

Although Dan Bateham has dropped out of the Position 7 race against Kidd, the incumbent, his name will be on the ballot since he withdrew too late for it to be removed.

The luncheon is $15; pay the meeting room cashier.

For those not having lunch, there is a $3 participation fee that includes a beverage.

■ Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce — Weekly ­luncheon meetings are held Mondays at noon at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.

Today’s meeting will feature Port of Port Townsend commissioner, District 1 candidates Steve Tucker, seeking re-election, and challenger Diana Talley in a forum moderated by Scott Wilson of the Port Townsend & Jefferson County Leader.

The forum sponsor is Jefferson Healthcare.

■ Forks Chamber of Commerce — Luncheon meetings are Wednesdays at noon at Blakeslee’s Bar & Grill, 1222 S. Forks Ave.

This Wednesday will be a general business meeting, with members discussing local issues.

Lunch is $9.75 and will include an entree and sides. Soup of the day will be clam chowder.

■ Port Angeles Business Association — Meetings are held Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at Joshua’s Restaurant, 113 DelGuzzi Drive.

This Tuesday’s meeting will feature Port Angeles School Board Position 4 candidates Lonnie Linn, the incumbent, and challenger Rick Marti.

There is a $3 minimum charge by Joshua’s for those who do not order breakfast.
