2nd UPDATE — Electrical power restored, Mount Angeles Road reopened, after car takes down power pole this morning

PORT ANGELES — Electricity was restored to all 250 customers in the Mount Angeles area by 4:20 this afternoon after a car crashing into a power pole cut off power to them this morning.

Mount Angeles Road was reopened at about the same time.

The road was blocked and power was cut to Clallam County Pubic Utility District customers wen a car hit a power pole at Bent Cedars Way and Mount Angeles Road at about 10:30 a.m. today.

Mount Angeles Road was opened by 1 p.m. to alternating traffic while PUD workers replaced the ole and repaired the lines, said Mike Howe, PUD spokesman.

No one was hurt in the wreck, which involved only one car, said Brian King, chief criminal deputy for the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office,

The pole fell across Mount Angeles Road and took power lines down with it.

The wreck is under investigation by Clallam County Sheriff’s deputies.
