PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Symphony announced Thursday that the local investment firm D.A. Davidson Companies has contributed $4,000 to the Adventures in Music school project.
In Adventures in Music, the symphony brings classical music concerts to all of Clallam County’s school districts as well as three Jefferson County schools.
With these live music performances and support materials provided to teachers, the project aims to bring enhanced music education to local children.
“We present Adventures in Music three times a year to all the public elementary schools in Clallam County, as well as Queen of Angels and Olympic Christian,” said program director Al Harris.
He also brings musicians to Quilcene Elementary, Chimacum Elementary and Chimacum Creek Primary schools; in both counties, homeschooled children are also welcome to attend the performances.

“Adventures in Music has had a meaningful impact in Clallam County since 1994, and we are excited about its expansion into Jefferson County,” said Joe Denhart, senior vice president and co-branch manager for D.A. Davidson’s Port Angeles office.
