Gateway transit center festival detour outlined

PORT ANGELES — Gateway Transit Center will be the site of crustacean pickups, not pedestrians, on Friday through Sunday during the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival.

Passengers who are accustomed to getting on or off buses at 123 E. Front St. will instead be routed to a temporary transit center stop located on Fourth Street between Lincoln and Peabody streets.

Signs will be posted.

Bus stops at the Safeway store, 110 E. Third St., and at Peabody and Front streets also will be closed for the duration of the festival.

Those taking the Hurricane Ridge shuttle also will use the temporary transit center Friday through Sunday.

Monday, Oct. 9, is the shuttle’s last day taking visitors to the summit.

Fare for the shuttle is $1 each way.

Passengers must purchase a park pass before they get on the bus.
