Deadline approaching for Planning Commission applications

PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles is seeking volunteers to fill a vacancy on its Planning Commission.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. Jan. 21.

To obtain an application, visit www.cityofpa.us or the City Manager’s Office in City Hall at 321 E. Fifth St.

City planning commissioners are appointed for a four-year term.

The members of the volunteer commission review and make recommendations to the city council on a range of land development actions. The Commission may also act as hearings board and approval body for certain land use issues.

The commission meets at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
