Port Angeles High School club raises funds for a well in Kenya

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles High School WE Club hosted a fundraising walk to help provide a permanent well for a community in Kenya.

Students and staff members walked laps at the school’s track May 31.

The event raised $545 which was matched by an unnamed corporate donor for a total of $1,090.

According to a press release, $1,000 funds a permanent well for a community of 40 people.
