SEQUIM — Veteran Master Gardener Bev Dawson will guide visitors through the Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Garden at 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The 2.5-acre Demonstration Garden features native and ornamental plants in a variety of garden spaces, including cottage, pollinator, grass and rose gardens, raised vegetable beds and an orchard.

Free event

This new free event offers local gardeners the opportunity to see what grows well in the area and learn good gardening practices.

The walk will focus on dahlia, vegetable and herb gardening. Master gardeners tend the gardens on Thursdays and will be available to answer questions on their respective areas.

The Demonstration Garden is on the north side of Woodcock Road about a half mile west of the Dungeness River.

It is free and open to the public daily from dawn to dusk.

The Woodcock Demonstration Garden is owned and financially supported by the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County.
