Port Angeles: Jury convicts man on sex charges

PORT ANGELES –Thomas Robert Williamson has been found guilty of eight of nine felony charges in the rapes and molestations of two children.

In a verdict delivered Thursday before Clallam County Superior Court Judge George L. Wood, a jury found 47-year-old Williamson guilty of first- and third-degree child rape, first-degree and third-degree child molestation, three counts of tampering with a witness and one count of bribing a witness.

The 12-person jury found Williamson innocent of an additional charge of third-degree child rape.

He will be sentenced May 10 in Superior Court.

Williamson’s crimes, some of which are Class A felonies, carry a standard range of 20 to 26½ years in prison, with a maximum sentence of life in prison.
