Power outage delays publication of Peninsula Daily News

An outside transformer malfunction caused a partial power failure at the Port Angeles printing plant of the Peninsula Daily News about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The press, other pressroom equipment, some computer systems and half the lighting were affected.

Completion and publication of the Wednesday editions, which is normally completed between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m., were delayed for more than two hours, causing late deliveries in some parts of the PDN circulation area.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
