Gasoline prices have passed the $2 a gallon threshold on the North Olympic Peninsula.

A PDN survey of stations in Jefferson and Clallam counties on Wednesday showed that the average price increased 8 cents per gallon since Saturday.

The price of regular unleaded grade passed the $2 mark at the Shell station at Fifth and Lincoln streets in Port Angeles, making it the only retail outlet on the Peninsula where all grades costs more than $2 a gallon.

Regular was $2.039. Unleaded plus was $2.159 and premium was selling for $2.279 a gallon Wednesday. All three prices were North Olympic Peninsula highs.
