PORT TOWNSEND – What is red and green, has 26 legs and flies along the Rhody Run course?

One answer: “I don’t know, but I think it’s gaining on you.”

Another possibility: the Port Townsend American Association of University Women’s entry in this year’s Rhody Run.

Dressed in red and black and holding a green canopy, 13 AAUW members are running Sunday’s race as a centipede, complete with antennae, tail and stinger.

“We’re the 26 legs,” Carol Brannan said.
