Naval base plans security exercise

PORT HADLOCK — Naval Magazine Indian Island has scheduled a training exercise for Thursday.

All training activities will take place on base within the installation boundaries.

The public could hear announcements from the base’s loudspeaker notification system during the exercise, the Navy said in a press release.

The Navy said it conducts security exercises at installations across the world to ensure readiness and verify response procedures.
