Bonneville Power Administration makes annual payment to US Treasury

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Bonneville Power Administration recently announced that it has paid the U.S. Treasury $1.05 billion.

This was the administration’s 38th consecutive, on-time annual payment to the treasury, according to a BPA press release.

The payment includes $187 million in interest, $806 million of principal and $56 million for other costs.

BPA has paid more than $32 billion to the treasury over the past 38 years.
