Sequim seeks applicants for Civil Service Commission

SEQUIM — The city of Sequim is seeking applicants for its Civil Service Commission.
The vacant seat expires Dec. 31, and the commissioner may then be reappointed for a full six-year term.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, registered to vote in Clallam County and have resided within Sequim for at least three years.
The commission provides certain personnel-related functions for the Sequim Police Department and also acts as a review body for police disciplinary actions.
It meets at 8:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meetings will continue to be held online until the county moves into Phase 3 of the governor’s Safe Start Plan.
