Early literacy program offered at Port Angeles library beginning Wednesday

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System and First Step Family Support Center will present Kindergarten Rocks! at 1 p.m. Wednesdays in July.
The kindergarten readiness program will be held at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody Ave.
Each session will feature the reading of a different book and hands-on stations based upon kindergarten readiness skills.
The first session, set this Wednesday, will feature the book “This is Not a Box” by Antoinette Portis.
Other books in the program are “Gravity” by Jason Chin on July 17; “Click, Clack, Moo” by Doreen Cronin on July 24; and “Let’s Play in the Forest” by Claudia Rueda on July 31.
No registration is required for this free early literacy program.
