History lecture topic navigates the history of the Salish Sea on Friday

PORT TOWNSEND — David B. Williams will be the featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Friends of Fort Worden at 5 p.m. Friday.

The meeting will be held at the Fort Worden Commons, 200 Battery Way.

The meeting will start with social hour followed by a brief business meeting at 6 p.m. and then Williams’ lecture.

Williams’ presentation, “Puget Sound: A Maritime Highway,” will highlight how humans have been navigating the Salish Sea for the past 13,000 years.

The event will include appetizers and a no-host bar, admission is $5 per person, free for Friends of Fort Worden members.
