Jefferson County assessor to present annual update to Board of Equalization

PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Board of Equalization will hear an annual update from county Assessor Jeff Chapman when it meets at 1:30 p.m. today.
The special meeting will be at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St.
The board will consider accepting the county assessor’s certificate of assessment rolls which states: $5,237,172,334 in real property; $50,035,800 in personal property and $61,847,367 in new construction.
The board also will elect officers and accept assessment corrections and petition withdrawals.
