Paving the way on Hurricane Ridge Road

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — A paving machine puts down a layer of asphalt on Hurricane Ridge Road below Heart O’the Hills in Olympic National Park on Wednesday. Work continues on the popular parkway leading from Port Angeles into the park, resulting in traffic delays, temporary lane closures and pilot cars through construction areas. Rehabilitation of the road is expected to be complete in September, weather permitting.
