Pumpkin Patch offers ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme

SEQUIM — Sequim’s Pumpkin Patch and corn maze are open and ready for business.

The Pumpkin Patch, a 33-acre farm at the corner of U.S. Highway 101 and Kitchen-Dick Road, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays (9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for field trips) and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 31.

Co-owner Theresa Lassila said the corn maze this year features an “Alice in Wonderland” theme designed by brother-and-sister duo Amanda and Eric Lawton.

Lassila said she keeps The Pumpkin Patch going each year in memory of her father, Phil Lassila, who started the tradition in 1999.

U-pick pumpkins vary in cost depending on the size, type and style of pumpkin. The pumpkin shoot costs $5 for two pumpkins and a chance at $100 if it goes in the barrel. The maze costs $5 for youths 12 and younger to visit, $10 for those 13 and older.
