Preview of films for Port Townsend festival screen on Bainbridge Island

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — Looking to curb your anticipation for the Port Townsend Film Festival for just a couple weeks?

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, 550 Winslow Way, will screen nine short films at 7 p.m. Wednesday to preview the upcoming festival Sept. 15-17.

Tickets cost $10 for members of the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) or $12 for general admission, and can be purchased at www.brownpaper tickets.com/event/3057169. Tickets include beverages and light snacks.

The films include:

• “Johanna Under the Ice,” directed by Ian Derry.

• “The Card Shark” by Rex Carter.

• “Legal Smuggling with Christine Choy” by Lewie Kloster.

• “High Chapparal” by David Freid.

• “Jonah” by Andrew Michael Ellis.

• “Slacker” by Max Lowe.

• “The Counselor” by Guy Bauer.

• “Odd Ball” by Joshua Moore

• “Denali’s Raven” by Renan Ozturk.
