SEQUIM — A woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle roll over accident early Saturday morning.

The woman, who was not identified, was driving east in the 4000 block of Old Olympic Highway near Sequim and lost control after passing the car in front of her, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.

Her vehicle slid off the road to the right, over a driveway and through a chain link fence surrounding the yard of a nearby home.

Her vehicle continued through the yard, rolled over and struck the side of a garage, causing minor damage to the structure, coming to rest on its top.

The driver was treated by medics at the scene and transported to Olympic Medical Center to be treated for a small laceration before being released.

The woman was cited for second-degree negligent driving, passing in a no-passing zone and driving too fast for conditions.
