COLLEGE SOCCER: Peninsula Pirates women celebrate title back in Port Angeles
Jay Cline/for Peninsula Daily News The Peninsula College women’s soccer team was feted by Peninsula College at The Pirate Union Building after winning the Northwest Athletic Conference championship over the weekend for the program’s third title in six seasons. The women went 19-1-1 this season and beat Highline 1-0 in the 103rd minute in double overtime on a goal by Bri Vallente. As part of the celebration, coach Kanyon Anderson, standing at left, had his head shaved by the team.
