LETTER: We’re reaping the ‘rewards’ of a broken education system

I believe that we are now reaping the harvest of a public education system that does not promote a scientific understanding of the world we live in and and the need for critical thinking.

This has led people to believe the nonsense of many conspiracy theories (chemtrails, 9/11, etc.), religious dogma, alternative medical therapies and the rantings of Donald Trump.
