PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles High School and Sequim High School Girls Softball Varsity and JV athletes will “Pink It Up” during a Tuesday game.

A ceremony will kick off the event at 4 p.m. before the 4:15 p.m. game time at Dry Creek Elementary, 25 Rife Road.

This is the teams’ third annual effort to bring attention to the fight against cancer.

Fundraising efforts will support Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County. Donations can be made at the game.

The PAHS Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps color guard will show the colors while Claire Steinman, a cancer survivor, will throw out the first pitch of the game.

Steinman lives at St. Andrews Assisted Living and residents will join her at the game.

Catching the first pitch will be Anne Edwards, 12, a cancer survivor and a student at Dry Creek Elementary.
