NORDLAND — Joy in Mudville, that band specializing in bluesy, funky Americana, will give a free outdoor concert at Fort Flagler State Park, 10541 Flagler Road, this Saturday evening.

Music lovers are invited to bring picnics to the 5 p.m. show, or partake of the drinks and snacks available for purchase.

Joy in Mudville includes Jason Mogi and Kim Trenerry, co-founders of the local bands Deadwood Revival and Tongue & Groove, with bassist Paul Stehr-Green and drummer Mike Echternkamp. While Mogi plays guitar and clawhammer banjo, he and Trenerry sing in tight harmonies; she also plays guitar and various percussion instruments.
