National Geographic star Mick Dodge talks to Forks students about bullying

FORKS — Mick Dodge, the star of a National Geographic Channel reality TV series that depicts him as living in the Hoh Rain Forest, spoke to a classroom Wednesday about bullying.

The Forks Intermediate School students in Jaymi Goetze’s morning enrichment class had just completed a mural with the theme of stopping bullying.

The group posed for a photo with Dodge, who lives in the Forks area. Students kicked off their shoes before the photograph, apparently in homage to the depiction of Dodge as barefoot in “The Legend of Mick Dodge.”

After the photo, Dodge addressed the entire student body in an assembly and gave tips on dealing with a bully.
