Two Port Townsend residents remain in Seattle hospital following Highway 20 wreck

PORT TOWNSEND — Two of the three Port Townsend residents injured in a single-vehicle wreck over the weekend remained in a Seattle hospital Sunday, while a third had been treated and released.
According to State Patrol, a 2006 Chevrolet pickup driven by Taylour Eldridge, 25, crashed into a tree and rolled onto its side at 1:29 a.m. Saturday at Milepost 1 on state Highway 20, trapping and injuring Eldridge and his two passengers.
Eldridge and the passengers, Gregory W. Bolling, 23, and Amelia R. Syska-Patten, 20, were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
On Sunday, Eldridge was listed in satisfactory condition, and Bolling was in serious condition, according to a Harborview spokeswoman.
Syska-Patten had been treated and released, she said.
The State Patrol report listed speed as the cause of the wreck and said that drugs or alcohol were involved.
A felony vehicular assault charge will be sought against Eldridge, according to the report.
Witnesses of the crash are asked to contact Detective Joi Haner at 360-473-0147.
Haner could not be reached for comment Sunday.
Investigators said Eldridge’s 2006 Chevrolet pickup was traveling east on Highway 20 when it failed to negotiate a curve near Eaglemount Road, left the pavement, went over an embankment, struck a tree and rolled onto its side near Discovery Bay.
The three occupants were trapped inside until East Jefferson Fire-Rescue personnel were able to get them out.
