Sip and savor the colors of fall during the Olympic Peninsula Wineries’ Harvest Wine Tour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Eight artisan wineries in Chimacum, Port Townsend, Sequim, Port Angeles and on Marrowstone Island will pair new and current wine releases with locally grown and prepared cuisine that celebrates the season.
Visitors can take part in the Scarecrow Photo Competition, sample upcoming wines straight from the barrel and enjoy jazz.
Online tour tickets are $25 (plus a service fee) through noon today at www.olympicpeninsulawineries.org.
Remaining tickets will be available for $30 at the door of each winery.
A commemorative wine glass, wine tasting and food pairings are included in the ticket price.
Visitors without tour tickets will be charged a $5 tasting fee at each winery.
Children are permitted in the tasting rooms; however, visitors must be 21 years old to purchase a ticket and participate in wine tasting.

They are Michael’s Seafood and Steakhouse, Bella Italia, and Cafe New Day in Port Angeles, and Nourish in Sequim.
Tour-goers who have their tickets stamped at all eight participating wineries can enter a drawing for a wine-themed gift basket that includes gift certificates to local restaurants and two tickets to the Olympic Peninsula Wineries’ Red Wine & Chocolate Tour in February.
Second- and third-place drawing winners also will receive tickets to the February tour.
The scarecrow photo contest invites visitors to take photos with the scarecrows that greet them at each winery.
Those who “like” the Olympic Peninsula Winery Association on Facebook and post their scarecrow photos from the wine tour could win tickets to February’s Red Wine & Chocolate Tour.
The wineries association will select its favorite photo to feature on its website and provide two free tickets to the February event.
