The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for tonight and Thursday for the West End communities of Forks, LaPush and Kalaloch.
“It is possible that west to southwest winds will reach 30 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph,” the Weather Service said this morning.
A high wind watch means there is the potential for a damaging wind event. Impacts of the storm could included downed tree limbs and trees, damage to roofs and power outages, it said.
The storm is expected to arrive late tonight and last through Thursday evening, with the strongest winds likely Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon.
