THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE has issued a flood watch from late tonight through Wednesday afternoon for the West End of Clallam and Jefferson counties.
Forecasters are expecting heavy rainfall of between 5 inches and 8 inches after dusk tonight until Wednesday morning.
That precipitation is expected to raise the Bogachiel, Hoh, Clearwater, Quinault “and other rivers flowing off the Olympics” to flood overnight.
The Weather Service cautions: “A flood watch means conditions are favorable for flooding but flooding is not imminent or occurring.”
Please check back for later forecasts.
