PORT TOWNSEND — More than 150 handmade quilts will be on display during the two-day Cabin Fever Quilt Club’s 32nd Quilt Show today and Saturday.
The show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in the Oscar Erickson building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4907 Landes St.
Admission will be a $5 donation.
Vendors will sell fabrics, books, patterns, notions and machines from shops around the North Olympic Peninsula.
A Quilter’s Country Store and demonstrations are planned.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.
The featured display is a mystery quilt pattern designed by Debbie Caffrey.
Members received quilt pattern instructions for cutting and sewing over several months for this project.
Among the varied theme, art and other specialty quilts, the show will display a collection donated to Hospice of East Jefferson County, Child Protective Services and Dove House.
Members make and donate approximately 130 quilts to these organizations each year.
Quilt raffle prize
The club will raffle off this year’s “Opportunity Quilt,” titled “Autumn Nights.”
Sherri Hisey designed the quilt. Club membership pieced and Dory Miller of Crazy Horse Quilts quilted it.
Tickets are $1 and are available at the show.
The drawing will be at the Saturday show. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
Proceeds will help pay for operating expenses and materials to make the charity quilts throughout the year.
