BUSINESS BRIEF — Sequim landscaper passes state pesticide license exam

SEQUIM — Doug Cockburn, president of Landscapes by Cockburn Inc., 4950 Sequim-Dungeness Way, is now licensed to apply herbicides and insecticides in the state after passing the Washington State Pesticide License test.

The four-hour test was given March 20 at the Washington State University Puyallup Extension Station after 21⁄2 days of classes.

Landscapes by Cockburn has been in operation for 20 years.

The firm does not apply pesticides outside its normal landscape projects.
