Up, up and up! Powerball jackpot for Saturday at $203 million

NO TICKET IN the multistate Powerball lotto game drawn Wednesday had the winning five numbers and sixth Powerball number, so Saturday night’s jackpot is at least $203 million.

The drawing is scheduled for 7:59 p.m. Saturday following a ticket sales cutoff of 7 p.m.

The game is played in Washington and 42 other states plus the Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

To win, a $2 ticket must match five numbers in any order plus the sixth specific Powerball number. The odds of winning are 1 in 175 million.

A single winner can take $169 million in a 29-year annuity or a lump-sum prize estimated at $115.5 million.

If nobody has a winning ticket, the jackpot rolls over and grows for next Wednesday’s lotto drawing. It could top a quarter-billion dollars.
