An Olympics update:
— The American women’s basketball team routed France 86-50 in the final Saturday, collecting its fifth straight Olympic gold medal.
Candace Parker scored 21 points, including eight in a game-changing run in the second quarter.

— Appearing in what could be the final race of his Olympic career, Usain Bolt anchored Jamaica’s sprint relay to a new world record of 36.84 seconds.
The quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake and Bolt broke their own year-old mark of 37.10.
The United States team of Trell Kimmons, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Ryan Bailey tied the old mark of 37.04.
