JOYCE — A Port Angeles woman was in stable condition Thursday after she swerved her pickup truck to avoid a deer and collided with a log truck on state Highway 112.

Megan R. Wilbanks, 28, hit the log truck at 5:40 a.m. and was transported to Olympic Medical Center.

The two-car collision partially blocked the westbound lane of the highway near Peters Road.

The wreck was cleared at 6:08 a.m.
