Man found hanged in tree near Sequim

SEQUIM — A Mill Creek man was found dead, hanging from a rope Wednesday morning outside the city limit of Sequim.

The man, who Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nick Turner said was in his “early 20s,” was discovered about 8 a.m. by a person walking their dog.

The man’s name was not released.

Turner said the man had been hanging from a low tree branch at a residence off Spencer Road for more than six hours before he was discovered.

The man had a history of mental health problems and there were no indications of a struggle or foul play, Turner said.
