Port Townsend: Town meeting on golf course future, proposed arts center tonight

The city will host a community forum at 6:30 p.m. today at the Fort Worden State Park Commons to discuss the future of the Port Townsend Golf Course.

City staff will make a presentation detailing the golf course master plan being created this year, which analyzes the future of the course.

A citizens arts group will also make a presentation outlining their idea for a performing arts center on the course.

The facility has caused a ruckus among the golf community who have launched a petition drive against the plan.
